D22 Sprayhood and Tent
The Cockpit Cover is a welcome addition for when your boat is on a mooring. The Sprayhood and frame is included in the standard spec.
Adding a tent to the cockpit of a Drifter 22 creates a ‘village hall’ of a living & entertaining space.
It uses two fibreglass sectional poles for support that fit into deck eyes on the outer coaming.
There is full standing headroom.
Each side has a zipped, roll up panel giving easy access to the pontoon or boat moored alongside which can be secured in the open position.
There is another at the aft end so the tent may also be used as a bimini to shield the occupants from the beating sun during our summers.
It attaches to the sprayhood with Velcro (that is a part of the standard sprayhood specification).

This is a heavy duty PVC on Polyester, which is easy to wipe down and keep clean. The colour choices are Red, White, Blue or Green. - Weathermax 80:
This is a new material to us, and we are pleased with the look and feel of it. The Weathermax 80 has several benefits over the PVC, it is lighter to handle, more flexible when taking off and putting on your boat, has a UP Factor of 50 and mildew resistant, so would be ideal for sprayhoods, tents and covers. The colour choices are Navy (Standard) Forest Green, White and Burgundy are available at a surcharge of £50.00. The life-span of each is much the same.
