As a small team, we all have our own specialist area to help you.
Sharon is the main person behind all communication, from answering the phone and emails, to being at the boat shows, Sharon’s passion comes into its own when she is talking to customers, all of the new boat sales and brokerage sales are undertaken by Sharon.
Simon’s dedication is building the Drascombes to a high standard, along with refurbishing the boats which come in for work, his knowledge and understanding of all Drascombes is hard to beat.
Dick has the sailing knowledge to complement the team, having owned a Lugger for many years, he is on hand to give advice and tips. You will also see Dick at the boat shows, along with being co-driver with Sharon when delivering boats, Berlin has been the longest adventure so far.
Sharon Geary Harwood
Owner and Managing Director
Sharon is a mother of two grown up daughters and grandmother to Kyle and Jessie. She started work at CBL assisting Stewart Brown in the office. Upon buying the business, Sharon took over the front of house role and has quickly become the public face of Drascombe. She enjoys meeting customers and suppliers. She enjoys being out on the water with fellow Drascombers.

Simon Harwood
Production Manager
Simon has worked at Drascombe since 2002 learning the trade and skills alongside Stewart Brown. As a result he has a vast amount of knowledge and experience of all things Drascombe. He undertakes and oversees the production of new boats building over 200 Drascombes in this time. He also undertakes the refurbishment of customers craft and brokerage boats. He is always on hand for customer queries, helping them get the best from their boats.

Dick Pizey
Deliveries and Demonstrations
Dick has been helping at Drascombe for over four years now at various boat shows. A very keen sailor, he is knowledgeable on the sailing side, and able to give hints and tips for sailing a Drascombe. Behind the scenes, Dick also helps with brokerage sales for non Drascombe boats, as well as being known to deliver boats to customers as far as Berlin, Germany.

Lauren
Lauren is married to Jamie and also a working mum of Kyle aged nine and Jessie who is three, who is happy to join in with helping at boat shows, along with also enjoying a day sail for the 40-4-40 event at Weymouth in 2019, Lauren took to sailing like a duck to water, and loved being able to spend time with Kyle on the water.
Hannah
Hannah has her own Drascombe Lugger “Luwi” and is looking forward to getting her on the water and having some fun. Often seen at the boat shows supporting her parents on the Drascombe stand, Hannah follows in her Grampa’s drinking habits of a good G&T. In 2021, Hannah started a new role working for Raymarine, so now attends boat shows with them. In 2023 Hannah got engaged to Lewis, who likes boats so much that he is an Engineering Officer in the Royal Navy, so a Drascombe should be easy for him to work on.
Rags
The loveable Springer Spaniel
Every office needs a dog, and we have Rags, who is always looking out of the cat flap to see who is about. A very friendly part of the team who enjoys nothing more than lots of fuss being made of him.
